A Mix of New Applications
The past few weeks have been an interesting time here at Cynergy and indicative of the changes we've experienced as a company. In our beginnings Cynergy was purely about backoffice, line of business software development. Our entrance into the RIA world four years ago came with lots of changes and the releases of the past few weeks demonstrate just how dramatically things have changed here. Here is a quick recap of a few of the different kinds of software we're out there building for our customers.
LineRider - It would be tough to get further away from backoffice development than online games but here we are releasing the newest version of LineRider written completely in Microsoft Silverlight featuring integration with Live Services and social networking.
Cynergy TV - We released the newest version of Cynergy TV to showcase a number of the applications we've built here at Cynergy. Built as a Flex RIA, the new Cynergy TV is a great example of how RIAs can be used to convey a very powerfuil sales message to customers. We're very proud of the new Cynergy TV and of course of the applications presented.
Quickcomm Enterprise - Quickcomm Software released the newest version of its telecom expense management software - Quickcomm Enterprise. Quickcomm engaged with Cynergy to take its suite of client/server backoffice applications and turn them into a single, intuitive Rich Internet Application built in Adobe Flex with a complete Java/SOA backend based on Spring, Hibernate and our Cash framework. Quickcomm Enterprise is a great example of the value Cynergy can bring to ISVs like Quickcomm that have powerful software hampered by a poorly designed user interface. We literally breathed new life into Quickcomm's software through a combination of great design and great technology. You can read more about Quickcomm Enterprise at www.quickcomm.com or you can watch a video about it on CynergyTV.
A popular online game, a video showcase and a truly enterprise software application all released in just the last month...and we have a ton more coming out in both the enterprise and consumer spaces. These are exciting times here at Cynergy...really looking forward to talking about the rest of it with you.

Lunch with Steve Ballmer
I had the opportunity to have lunch today with Steve Ballmer at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference to hear from the man himself about Microsoft's vision for Silverlight, WPF and working with agencies like Cynergy. Although most of the discussion is protected under a crushing pile of NDAs, I'm pleased to say that at the highest levels of Microsoft there is the firm belief that user experience driven design is the future of software development.
As everyone here at Cynergy knows, we are fully committed to the Microsoft stack and are investing very heavily into recreating the success we've enjoyed in the Adobe world in the new Microsoft world. We feel that Microsoft has an incredibly compelling, holistic offering across form factors with technologies such as Silverlight, WPF, Surface, Windows Mobile and beyond. It's going to be a very exciting next few years working hand in hand with Microsoft to help push these technologies to their limits.
A quick thanks to Darren McCormick and the the rest of the folks at Microsoft for bringing us together for this meeting today to hear from Ballmer himself about the vision and future.

Coming up for Air...
No, not the Adobe Integrated Runtime, the real thing. I promised myself I'd keep up the blogging through all of our growth but I failed miserably. I'm back to give it another shot. Tons of things have happened since I was last out here in November. Here's a quick list of the highlights... Read more...

Cynergy and Adobe Co-Sponsor AJAXWorld 2007
These are exciting times for anyone doing Flex development and they're especially exciting for us here at Cynergy. We've recently deployed a number of new Flex applications and we continue to push the envelope of this powerful platform. So when Sys-Con approached us and Adobe not only about co-sponsoring AjaxWorld 2007, but also to team up together to sponsor a whole day Flex training event at the show, we were incredibly excited. Given what a tremendous success AJAXWorld 2006 was for both Cynergy and Flex, the decision was a no brainer.
For us at Cynergy, AJAXWorld is all about showing the world the kinds of amazing applications that can be built with Flex and continuing our history of leadership to the ever growing Flex development community. Cynergy’s top Flex experts will be presenting at both the conference as well as the one day Flex Seminar on a variety of advanced topics on the design, development and deployment of Rich Internet Applications. If Flex is on your radar, this is not something you're going to want to miss.
We're very proud to join Adobe as co-sponsors of this exciting conference and to continue to spread the word about RIA development with Flex. We'd love to meet you so be sure and stop by our booth or just grab any of us during the conference. Just look for the Cynergy red shirts or the 6' 8" guy in fliplops. That would be me. :)
See you in New York!

Cynergy Sponsoring AJAXWorld
As many of you probably already know, Cynergy made the decision recently to invest heavily in the AJAXWorld/RIAConference being held in Santa Clara, CA in October. As Platinum sponsors we share the stage with some very elite and much larger companies such as Adobe and TIBCO, both of whom are billion dollar companies... Read more...
